Kindergarten Section celebrates Yellow Day
The morning of 30th September 2019 at the Kindergarten block at Indian School Salalah was all bright and looked as if painted with different hues and tints of yellow as the students and teachers were all dressed in bright yellow dresses to celebrate the magic of yellow. Shades of yellow stimulated the little ISSIANS with happiness, energy and optimism as they walked in their yellow costumes. All the classrooms and lobby were decorated with yellow balloons and yellow objects.
With an objective to recapitulate and reinforce the effects of yellow colour (a symbol of friendship and happiness) in everyone’s lives the programme started. As the day was dedicated to the yellow colour, the students of UKG D sang a beautiful song on yellow colour with different cutouts related to yellow. The little faces beaming with joy and happiness were the fruit of the enthusiasm and involvement of the teachers who took all efforts to make it a happy day for the tiny tots. The celebration further took a joyous turn as the assembly area was transformed into a dance floor to the beat of the music, the teachers and students danced to the music with full energy.
The day was further carried out to the classrooms where the students did the “Yellow Tiffin Day”! It was a lovely sight to see the students dressed in yellow enjoying the tiffins filled with yellow coloured food. Speaking on the occasion Ms.Reenu Davis Kindergarten Incharge expressed her gratitude and happiness to the students and teachers for a wonderful, creative and colourful show. She also thanked all the parents for their whole hearted support and cooperation in all the school activities.
The take away activity for the day was “Giraffe” making for LKG and “Baby Chick” making for UKG students. All the activities were conducted in a lively, vibrant and high spirited environment. The motive of celebrating yellow day was to make children aware of yellow colour, its significance and to develop fine motor skills in the students by doing the take away activities. The celebration ended with a colossal group photo.
