The English Language Day is celebrated on 23rd of April in honour of the world’s greatest dramatist and poet William Shakespeare. The day marks the birthday of this great poet. The Language Day celebration at Indian School Salalah was thoughtfully curated to nurture a love for the English language among our young learners through engaging, creative, and educational experiences.
The highlight of the day was the Alphabet Parade presented by our cheerful Balvatika children. Each child proudly represented a letter from A to Z, donning imaginative headgear and holding colourful flashcards. The parade, led by a student carrying a bright “English Language Day” banner, was a delightful sight. Wonderful performances showcased the creativity, talent, and enthusiasm of the participants.

They were also motivated to speak a few sentences on the benefits of learning English and to recite short poems in class. The celebration continued with storytelling and poetry recitations.
Classes 3 and 4 engrossed in a special assembly, expressed themselves and deepened their connection with the language, celebrating the richness and versatility of English The assembly started with a welcome address by Miss Gnanvi and Master Joseph, followed by Master Rithvik as William Shakespeare to share the theme.
The assembly commenced with a melodic performance of an English song that set a lively and cheerful tone for the celebration.
One of the highlights of the day was the Character Ramp Walk, where the students confidently embodied iconic literary figures from English literature. Students not only dressed as these characters but also delivered impactful dialogues, bringing the personas to life.
