INDIAN SCHOOL SALALAH WINS U-17 CBSE CHESS CLUSTER CHAMPIONSHIP, SECURES FOURTH CONSECUTIVE TITLE

The chess team from Indian School Salalah has emerged as champions in the Under-17 category at the recent CBSE Oman Cluster Chess Tournament 2025, held at Indian School Al Maabela, succeeding over 15 other participating schools in Oman. The team delivered a dominant performance, winning all five rounds to secure the top position.
The victory was highlighted by exceptional individual performances, with three students earning prestigious board prizes: Arunachalam, Nilayajeet, and Jeswin. Their outstanding contributions were instrumental in the team’s overall success.
The school’s success extended beyond the U-17 category, with the Under-14 team also achieving a notable second runner-up position.
This victory marks a significant milestone for Indian School Salalah, as it is the fourth consecutive year that at least one of the school’s teams has won the championship. This consistent and remarkable performance is indeed praiseworthy as it reflects the dedication of the players, the strategic guidance of their coaches, and the unwavering support of the school community.
