October 7, 2025

Indian School Salalah proudly represented Oman in the CBSE National Sports Meet 2025-26, with its U-14 girls’ team competing among the top CBSE schools across India. The team played four intense matches against strong opponents including Yash Vidya Mandir (Ayodhya), LDR Convent School (Muktsar, Punjab), Maheswari Public School (Jaipur) and The SICA Sr. Sec. School (Indore, M.P.). Each game tested their skill, focus, and resilience, and the girls rose to the occasion with commendable performances.

The first innings ended in a 4–4 draw, showcasing the team’s ability to stay competitive under pressure and adjust their strategy effectively. The team then registered a well-deserved win against LDR Convent School and narrowly lost their other three matches, including two by just a single point, reflecting their competitive edge and fighting spirit.

Their disciplined gameplay, especially their excellent chasing skills with minimal fouls, drew appreciation from match officials and the host school principal. Competing under floodlights and in high-pressure environments, the girls remained composed and determined throughout the tournament.

This achievement stands as a proud moment for the Indian School Salalah community. Among thousands of CBSE schools, earning a place and performing with such spirit at the Nationals is a remarkable accomplishment. The school Management headed by Dr. Syed Ashan Jamil, other members of SMC, Principal Mr. Deepak Patankar and the staff congratulated the team and Coach Mrs. Rajapushpam for their dedication and hard work, reaffirming the school’s commitment to nurturing excellence in sports.
