Indian School Salalah has once again proven its footballing legacy, delivering a memorable performance at the CBSE Oman Cluster Football Championship held at Indian School Muladha from the13^th to 17^thAugust 2026. Competing across all three age categories — Under 14, Under 17, and Under 19 — the school’s teams showcased outstanding sportsmanship, resilience, and fighting spirit throughout the tournament, culminating in the school’s second consecutive championship title in the Under 14 category.

Under 14 Boys: Champions Back-to-Back

Entering the tournament as defending champions, the Under 14 boys’ team earned a direct entry into the quarterfinals — a privilege reserved for the reigning title holders.

The quarterfinal clash against Indian School Muscat proved to be a nail-biter, with the full-time score locked at 1-1. The tie was broken in a tense penalty shootout, which Indian School Salalah won 4-2. Goalkeeper Master Nazim was the hero of the hour, producing crucial saves that turned the tide in the team’s favour — a performance that would later earn him the tournament’s Best Goalkeeper award (U-14 category).

Riding on this momentum, the team dominated the semifinal against Indian School Ghubra, securing a commanding 2-0 victory to march into the final.

In the final, Indian School Salalah faced Indian School Darsait and delivered a clinical performance, winning 2-0 to be crowned champions of the Under 14 category for the second consecutive year — a proud and historic moment for the school.

Under 17 Boys:

The Under 17 team began their campaign in style, defeating Indian School Ibri 1-0 in the first round. In the second round, they faced a tough challenge against hosts Indian School Muladha, going down 4-5 in a closely contested tiebreaker after the match ended level. The team’s spirited effort against the hosts stood out as one of the highlights of the tournament.

Under 19 Boys:

The Under 19 boys produced one of the standout performances of the tournament, defeating Indian School Bousher — the tournament’s best-performing team — in a thrilling tiebreaker with a score of 4-2. In the second round, the team faced the reigning Under 19 champions, Indian School Muscat, and fought hard before going down 1-3.

With these commanding performances across all three categories, Indian School Salalah has once again marked its name firmly on the CBSE Oman Cluster football map, reaffirming its reputation as one of the region’s footballing powerhouses.
