GRAND FINALE OF IS QUIZ 2020 HOSTED BY IS SALALAH
The Virtual Grand Finale of the second edition of the historic Inter School Quiz competition (ISQUIZ 2020) was aired on the Zoom platform on Saturday, 10th October 2020 at 10 am and the live telecast for the audience was made available in the You tube channel. The 16 finalists from both senior and junior category successfully accomplished the specific benchmark and reached the pinnacle of the prestigious ISQUIZ2020.
The Grand Finale commenced with a video presentation displaying the glimpses of the journey of ISQUIZ 2020. In his welcome address, Dr. Syed Ashan Jamil, the President of School Management Committee, Indian School Salalah appreciated Dr. Baby Sam Saamuel, Chairman, Board of Directors, Indian Schools in Oman for taking up the initiation to conceive, design and implement ISQUIZ 2020 in the digital form. In the introductory message by Dr. Baby Sam Saamuel, Chairman, Board of Directors, Indian Schools in Oman, accentuated that love and thirst for knowledge is beyond age and situation. He highlighted that ISQUIZ 2020 is one among the many initiatives of the Board and their aim is to give the students 360 degrees of education in a different style and mode of learning. The Chief Guest of the day His Excellency Shri. Munu Mahawar, Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman officially inaugurated the grand finale of ISQUIZ2020. In his inaugural address he expressed his happiness to join this event as it was the first school event that he was attending in the Covid phase. The mega sponsor of the event ISQUIZ 2020, Noor Gazal and the media partner Muscat Daily along with the co-sponsors were felicitated for their humongous support and encouragement.
After the nail-biting neck to neck competition, the Winners of IS QUIZ 2020 were declared. In the Junior Category, Hiba Malik of Indian School Bousher won the coveted BOD Ever-Rolling Trophy, Naren Karthick Padmanabhan of Indian School Al Wadi Al Kabir secured the First Runner-Up position and Ashmi Raniga of Indian School Al Ghubra finished as the Second Runner-Up. In the Senior Category, Joshua Shalom Armstrong of Indian School Muscat emerged as the winner of the Championship Trophy and the First Runner-Up position was secured by Chethan Sethu of Al Wadi Al Kabir and Aarav Rana of Indian School Muscat bagged the Second Runner- up position. The winners of all the categories will be given certificates, Gift vouchers and Surprise gifts.
