INDIAN SCHOOL SALALAH IT CLUB OF COMPUTER SCIENCE DEPT ORGANIZES SESSIONS ON EMERGING TECHNOLOGY FOR CLASS VI

The IT Club of Computer Science Department of Indian School Salalah conducted hands-on session for Grade VI students in Computer Lab-3 on 2nd August 2025. The session was designed to provide students with practical exposure to emerging technologies and enhance their interest in computer science through real-time demonstrations and activities.
The session was divided into three key modules, each led by experienced faculty members:
Dreamweaver – Website Development-Conducted by Ms. Abirami M
Students were introduced to website creation using Adobe Dreamweaver, learning how to design and build websites with user-friendly tools and templates, sparking their curiosity in web design.
AR Book Reader – An AI Tool-Demonstrated by Ms. Shiny Miracle
This module showcased Augmented Reality (AR) through the AR Book Reader, allowing students to experience interactive 3D content emerging from book pages. It demonstrated how AI and AR technologies are transforming traditional learning into immersive experiences.
Machine Learning – Teachable Machine-Presented by Mr. Mohammad Javed
Mr. Javed, HOD, Computer Science introduced the concept of Machine Learning using Teachable Machine, a user-friendly platform where students can train a machine to recognize images, sounds, or poses. This interactive demonstration helped students understand how machines learn from data and make decisions, connecting complex AI concepts to practical applications.
The session was very well received by students, who actively participated and showed enthusiasm throughout the activities.
The Principal Mr. Deepak Patankar, Vice Principal and Assistant Vice Principals appreciated Mr. Mohammad Javed, Head of the Computer Science Department, and all the teachers involved for conducting such a meaningful and impactful session. Their dedication in integrating innovative technology into the curriculum is highly valued.
