INDIAN SCHOOL SALALAH CELEBRATES CONSTITUTION DAY

Indian School Salalah celebrated Constitution Day on 25th November, with great enthusiasm to honour the adoption of the Indian Constitution on 26 November 1949. The occasion aimed to promote awareness about India’s democratic values and help students understand the importance of being responsible and informed citizens.

Various activities were organised by the department of Social Science across the campus to help students understand the importance of constitutional values and their role as responsible citizens. The participants designed meaningful and colourful posters highlighting themes such as the Preamble, fundamental rights, duties and the significance of the Indian Constitution. These posters were later displayed in the school quadrangle, allowing the entire school community to appreciate the effort and message behind each creation.

A campaign on constitutional values was carried out for the students of Classes V to IX. Through this awareness drive, students shared key ideas about the Constitution, its makers and its relevance in daily life. The campaign helped younger learners gain a clearer understanding of their duties and responsibilities as citizens. This created an engaging learning environment and helped to reinforce the relevance of constitutional principles such as justice, liberty, equality and fraternity.

A significant highlight of the day was the reading of the Preamble of the Indian Constitution through the school’s Public Address system. This created a sense of unity and pride among the students and staff, reminding everyone of the guiding principles of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity.

The Constitution Day programme at Indian School Salalah successfully reinforced the importance of constitutional values and encouraged students to uphold the spirit of democracy. The activities provided both educational insight and a platform for creative expression, making the celebration meaningful and inspiring.
