CLASSES 1 AND 2 CELEBRATE CHILDREN’S DAY AT INDIAN SCHOOL SALALAH

The primary section of Indian School Salalah celebrated the spirit of childhood on 14th of November. The kindergarten block came alive  with colours, music, and laughter as the celebrations began. The event was packed with a variety of entertaining activities, games song and dance performances, and a cheerful and excited audience of students of grade 1 and 2.

The day dedicated to the students started with a special assembly conducted by the teachers. Following the prayer, Teacher Jalaja  Faculty of Science Department, dressed as Jawaharlal Nehru came forward and spoke to the children about the significance of children’s day.

 The teachers took to the stage with great enthusiasm. A group of teachers enacted the fairy tale “Hansel and Gretal and also compered the event.The dance performance by the teachers was met with a roaring applause and brought huge smiles to the faces of all the students. Their coordination, energy, and dedication reflected the hard work they had put into their rehearsals.

The dance was followed by a delightful musical performance by the teachers. A melodious Hindi song about celebrating childhood, unity, and dreams, sung by the teachers was applauded and cheered by the students. In the final segment, all the teachers gathered to walk the ramp to an upbeat, catchy and vibrant song to wish the students “Happy Children’s Day” with cards beautifully made by  them.

Mrs. Anita Rose ,Asst Vice principal, spoke on the occasion, she wished the children on their special day and also thanked the teachers for their hard work and dedication to making Children's Day truly special for their students.

Children’s day was observed as No Bag Day so students did not carry any books. They were given coloring and word search Activity sheet to complete. As the day progressed, the colouring activity was followed by musical chair game which the students participated with great enthusiasm and excitement.

To mark the celebration and adding an extra touch of delight, the students were given their favourite chocolate waffle.

The grand finale was an upbeat group dance, which included participation from both students and their respective class teachers, creating a heartwarming bond and a memorable end to the celebration.

 

The happiness and excitement dispalyed on the faces of the students was a proof that the day was well spent and beautiful memories were created to be  cherished forever.
