INDIAN SCHOOL SALALAH U-17 SECOND RUNNER UP IN BADMINTON AND MASTER RASLAN (U19)&MASTER ADVAIT(U14) SELECTED FOR CRICKET CBSE CLUSTER NATIONALS

Indian School Salalah excelled in the CBSE Oman Cluster Tournaments, showcasing their talent in cricket and badminton with commendable results.

The Cluster Cricket Matches, part of the selection for the CBSE Nationals, concluded on 19th August 2025. Trials began on 16th August with over 120 participants in each of the three categories—U-14, U-17, and U-19. From ISS, three players earned a place in the cluster squads and went on to perform well. Raslan’s U-19 team (IS Salalah player) and Panav’s U-17 team (IS Salalah player) clinched gold medals, while Advait’s U-14 team (IS Salalah player) tied two matches and won one to secure the silver medal. MAST RASLAN in U 19 category and MAST ADVAIT  in U14 age category got selected for CBSE Nationals.

 

BADMINTON-U-17-IS SALALAH – SECOND RUNNERS UP

Meanwhile, the Cluster Badminton Tournament was held at Indian School Bousher on the 19th and 20th of August 2025. The ISS U-17 team finished second runner up. They made a strong start, defeating IS Maabela and IS Wadi Kabir to reach the semi-finals, where they went down to IS Sohar after a close contest. In the U-19 category, ISS began with two singles wins against IS Ibri but narrowly missed victory after a hard-fought series of doubles and deciding singles.

Dr. Syed Ahsan Jamil, President of the School Management Committee, honourable members of the SMC, Principal Mr. Deepak Patankar, Vice Principal, Assistant Vice Principals, and staff members congratulated the players for their outstanding achievements. Special appreciation was extended to the Coaches (Mr.Parvinder Singh (cricket) and Mrs. Rajapushpam (Badminton) for their guidance and support for these players.
