INDIAN SCHOOL SALALAH SHINES AT AMBASSADOR’S SCHOOLYMPICS 2026

Indian School Salalah embarked on a spirited journey from the southern city of Salalah to Muscat, where its students showcased exceptional enthusiasm and determination at the Ambassador’s Schoolympics 2026, organised by the Board of Directors of Indian Schools in Oman on 10th and 11th April 2026.

The prestigious sporting event brought together over 3000 students from 21 Indian schools across the Sultanate, making it one of the largest inter-school competitions in the country. The events were held across four venues by age category—Under 9(Citius) at Indian School Al Seeb, Under 11 (Altius)at Indian School Bousher, Under 13(Fortius) at Indian School Al Wadi Al Kabir, and Under 15 (Communis)at Indian School Muscat.

Indian School Salalah proudly fielded a contingent of 112 students who participated in a range of events including athletics, football, basketball, and throwball. The young athletes demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship, teamwork, and perseverance throughout the competition.

Indian School Salalah achieved notable success in team events, securing the 2nd Runners-up position in Throwball (Girls), Football (Boys), and Basketball (Girls), reflecting strong coordination and competitive spirit.

In athletics, the students delivered an outstanding performance, winning a total of 19 medals, including 7 Gold, 7 Silver, and 5 Bronze medals. Their achievements across various categories, especially in relay events, significantly contributed to the school’s success.

This accomplishment was made possible under the dedicated guidance of the coaches—Mr. Rohit and Mrs.N.Rajapushpam (Athletics), Mr.Ishwar and Mr.Sahad (Football), Mr. Farhan (Basketball), and Ms. Manisha and Mrs. Akhila (Throwball), under the overall supervision and Guidance of Physical Education HoD, Dr. L. Mohandass. The accompanying teachers also played a vital role in ensuring smooth participation and constant encouragement across all venues.

With an impressive overall score of 167 points, Indian School Salalah secured the 4th position among the 21 participating schools.

The Ambassador’s Schoolympics 2026 proved to be a grand celebration of athletic excellence, unity, and sportsmanship. Indian School Salalah’s commendable performance stands as a testament to its commitment to nurturing talent and instilling values of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance in its students.
