Indian School Salalah proudly clinched the Overall Runner-Up Trophy at the prestigious CBSE Oman Cluster Athletic Meet 2025–26, held at Indian School Muscat from 21st to 23rd August 2025. The event witnessed participation from over 650 athletes representing 16 Indian schools across the Sultanate.

ISS students demonstrated exceptional skill and unwavering commitment by participating in a wide range of track and field events. Represented by a dynamic contingent of 57 students, Indian School Salalah delivered an outstanding performance at the Meet, overcoming the hurdles of contrasting climatic conditions and geographical limitations, Salalah’s athletes rose above these challenges with remarkable resilience and adaptability. Their determination and grit were evident as they confidently showcased their athletic prowess on the track and field, earning well-deserved recognition.

A standout achievement was the exceptional performance of the Under-14 Boys, Under-17 Boys, and Under-17 Girls teams, each securing the Runner-Up Trophy in their respective categories. The school’s medal tally was impressive, with a total of 13 Silver and 18 Bronze medals.

In the Under-14 category, Indian School Salalah secured 3 Silver medals and 4 Bronze medals, showcasing promising young talent. The Under-17 category saw an impressive haul of 7 Silver medals and 9 Bronze medals, reflecting the strength and depth of the school’s middle division athletes. In the Under-19 category, the senior athletes earned 3 Silver medals and 5 Bronze medals, demonstrating commendable performance and experience on the field.

In addition to their medal-winning performances, our athletes achieved fourth place in 9 events and fifth place in 14 events across various categories. These commendable placements contributed significantly to the overall points tally, playing a crucial role in securing the prestigious Runner-Up Trophy for Indian School Salalah.

Notably, 11 students who secured silver medals in individual events have qualified for the CBSE Nationals, scheduled for September 2025.
