Indian School Salalah successfully conducted its Annual Scouts and Guides Camps on 24 October 2026 for students of Grades V and VI and on 31 October 2026 for students of Grades VII and VIII at the Primary Block. Both camps featured a variety of activities aimed at fostering discipline, teamwork, leadership, self-reliance, and a spirit of service among students.
The programmes commenced with the investiture ceremonies. On 24 October, Principal Ms. Saher M.A. Sayed graced the occasion, conducted the investiture ceremony, and addressed the gathering. On 31 October, Vice Principals Ms. Ambika Padmanabhan and Mr. Mammikutty T.V. led the investiture ceremony and highlighted the importance of discipline and responsible leadership. Both days featured flag-hoisting ceremonies, followed by engaging sessions and activities designed to promote the core values of Scouting and Guiding.
The camp on 31 October included an all-faith prayer on the theme “Unity in Spirit”, followed by an insightful session by School Counsellor Ms. Meghasree, titled “The Power Within Me – Building Confidence and a Culture of Kindness.” A special highlight was the felicitation of Mr. Showkath Ali, the senior-most Scout Master and Scouts and Guides In-charge, in recognition of his exemplary dedication and long-standing service to the school. The School Administration honoured him with a Letter of Appreciation presented by Vice Principal, Ms. Ambika Padmanabhan. Another engaging session, “More Than a Uniform: The Power of Scouting and Guiding,” was led by Ms. Ambika Padmanabhan.
Both camps featured a range of practical activities, team games, and skill-development sessions. The firefighting demonstration conducted by Mr. Jithin and Mr. Vikram of 3G United Agencies on 31 October familiarised students with basic fire-safety practices and emergency preparedness.
Both camps were conducted successfully, with all activities progressing smoothly. The sincere commitment, teamwork, and dedicated efforts of the Scout Masters and Guide Captains, supported by meticulous planning and coordination, contributed immensely to their success. The enthusiastic participation of students made both camps memorable and enriching experiences, providing valuable opportunities for practical learning, leadership development, and character building while reinforcing the fundamental values of Scouting and Guiding.
