INDIAN SCHOOL SSALALAH WINS SECOND POSITION IN YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS PITCH COMPETITION
An Inter-School Academic Competition Part of the Young Champions: Business, Accounting & Finance Challenge In collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Muscat Chapter
The Young Entrepreneurs Pitch Competition, organized by the College of Banking and Financial Studies (CBFS) in collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, was an inter-school academic initiative aimed at fostering entrepreneurial thinking, innovation, and analytical skills among senior secondary students.
The event followed a two-stage evaluation process: Project Report (60 marks) and Final Presentation (40 marks). After an initial round of report submissions, the top five teams across Oman were shortlisted for the final round held on 14 April 2026 in Muscat.
Indian School Salalah participated with a team of five students from Grades XI and XII:
- Jeffin Thomas Jacob (XII)
- Parvathi Unikkat (XII)
- Prattyush Dwivedi (XI)
- Anamika Linesh (XII)
- Manal Aleemuddin Khaja (XII)
The team was guided by Mrs. Reeshma Vijesh, Commerce Faculty. The team qualified among the top five and advanced to the finals.
The final round of the Young Entrepreneurs Pitch Competition included presentations by the top five teams. Each team was given 5 minutes to present, followed by a question-and-answer session with a panel of four judges.
The Indian School Salalah team presented their innovative idea- AI powerered , an integrated learning platform to support education, safety and wellbeing for evry child named “Kinzo.” The idea was well-received by the judges for its practicality, creativity, and strong business understanding.
The team performed exceptionally well and secured 2nd Position in the competition. They were awarded a cash prize of 160 OMR along with certificates during the awards ceremony.
The President of SMC, Dr. Syed Ahsan Jamil, President of SMC, other members of SMC, Principal Mr. Deepak Patankar congratulated the efforts of the ISS team in winning the second position.
The Young Entrepreneurs Pitch Competition proved to be an enriching and inspiring experience for all participants.. The achievement of securing second place reflects the dedication, teamwork, and entrepreneurial spirit of the students, marking a proud moment for Indian School Salalah.
