INDIAN SCHOOL SALALAH CELEBRATES FACULTY ACHIEVEMENTS

Five teachers from Indian School Salalah have brought honour to the institution by receiving the prestigious Navin Asher–Kazi Awards for Excellence in Teaching, instituted by the Board of Directors of Indian Schools in Oman. The awards were presented at a grand ceremony held on 28 January 2025 at Indian School Muscat.
The Navin Asher–Kazi Awards for Excellence in Teaching is an annual initiative of the Board of Directors aimed at recognizing, rewarding, and encouraging sustained excellence in the teaching profession. Shri Himanshu Gupta, Secretary, CBSE India, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Dr. Khadeeja Ali Mohammed Al Salami, Director General of Private Schools, Ministry of Education, Sultanate of Oman, attended as the Guest of Honour. Shri Syed Ahmad Salman, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Indian Schools in Oman, presided over the ceremony.
Mr. T. K. Narayanankutty, Head – Department of Mathematics in the Senior School Category and Mr. Ishwar. S. Deshmukh Sr. Faculty – Department of Physical Education in the Co scholastic Category received the Award for Excellence for their outstanding contributions to education. Both were honored with a gold medal and a Certificate of Excellence.
On this occasion, three other teachers from the school were also honored with Certificates of Recognition: Mrs Angel D’Cruz in the Foundation category, Mrs Dharna Garg in the Preparatory category, and Dr Sana Ansari in the Senior School category.
Dr Syed Ahsan Jamil, President of the School Management Committee, along with committee members, Principal Mr. Deepak Patankar, and the staff, congratulated the awardees and commended their dedication to educational excellence.
