Visit to the Archaeological Park
To celebrate the dual significance of Children’s Day and Oman National Day, a special educational excursion was organized to the Archaeological Park in Dhofar. The initiative taken by AVP-Primary-Mrs. Anita Rose aimed at promoting reflection, creativity and meaningful learning after the trip. The event aimed to foster cultural awareness, historical curiosity, and national pride among young learners through interactive experiences and guided exploration.
Children gathered around heritage monuments to hear and see tales of ancient Oman, narrated by the guide in engaging formats.
A guided tour through the archaeological site highlighted Oman’s rich history, including ancient inscriptions, ruins, and cultural landmarks. Students learned about the significance of archaeological preservation and the stories behind ancient structures. The visit reinforced classroom lessons on history and culture through real-world observation and interaction. Teachers facilitated discussions on the importance of national identity and the role of children in shaping the future.
The visit to the Archaeological Park was a memorable blend of celebration and learning. It successfully honoured the joy and potential of children while deepening their appreciation for Oman’s glorious past. The event fostered a sense of pride, curiosity, and cultural connection that will resonate with the young participants for years to come.
