Dr. Sivakumar Manickam, the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Indian Schools in Oman is an Innovative Educational Leader and a full-time academician with more than 30 years of expertise in education. A dignitary with an excellent understanding of the unique and complex education system with varied experience and positions held in reputed educational institutions.

He played a key role in launching the ISO VLE Portal, which brought a revolutionary change in the educational system of Indian Schools in Oman. He is an innovative educational leader who spearheaded LMS, Learning Management System into the schooling system of Indian Schools in Oman.

Under his tenure as Chairman, a lot of academic activities has been implemented in Indian Schools in Oman that has steered the organizations towards a successful progress of academic development.

DIC - SALALAH

Mr. Sirajudeen Nhelat, who has been a member on the Board since 2018, is presently the Academic Chair in the Board of Directors, Indian Schools in Oman.

Professionally he is the project leader – Healthcare applications with Ministry of Health. He won many national and international accolades from the health sector for his indelible contributions. He has played a pivotal role in designing and developing the Tarassud App, which we all used during the Covid 19 pandemic and has been acclaimed by the Ministry of Health for his contribution. He is selected as the best employee of the year 2017-18 by Ministry of Health.

He is an advocate of holistic education and he looks forward to contributing to the all-round development of students, sensitizing them to the needs of society. He is the Director in charge of Indian Schools Salalah, Muladha, Khasab, Buraimi, Thumraith Saham, and Indian school Darsait .

DIC - SALALAH

Mr.A.P.Ambalavanan, member of Board of Directors-Indian Schools in Oman is the Director In charge of Indian School Salalah. He is a Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, New Delhi, India. Mr. Ambalavanan is a Finance Strategist, qualified and experienced professional with broad range of experience in accounting and financial management. He has diverse professional experience including financial analysis, project management and system Implementation.

Besides his professional experience, he is a dedicated social worker, founder of many social organizations, experience in leading many initiatives and Chief Coordinator of programmes involving thousands of people. A few of his many initiatives and involvement in Social activities are chamber of commerce activities, Vande Bharat mission, Sewa Day and many more.

Currently, he is the Director of MCA Gulf for Oman and Bahrain. Before this he was the Senior Group Finance Manager of Al Rostamani Group, Dubai UAE.

President

Dr. Abubacker Siddique is a Specialist Orthodontist by profession for the past 24 years with about 21 years of work experience in Salalah. He has been instrumental in setting up a chain of dental clinics and optical centers in Salalah (The Al Zahir group of establishments). He is the Managing Director for this group of concerns. He completed the masters degree for his speciality with first rank and gold medal. Throughout the years of his domicile here, he has been actively involved with various organizations related to the Indian community.

VICE PRESIDENT

Mr.Yaser Mohammed M.V having a rich experience of 15 years as a Dental Technician in India and abroad, strongly believes in promoting simplicity and dedication towards values and goals with analytical and planning skills, and this belief has led him to be associated with the well being of the society. He has a rich background in social service with a vast experience of more than twenty years in Bismi Charitable Trust, a reputed charitable organization in Kerala in the field of medical and educational services and has also worked in Yateem Fund a special organization to find out, educate and protect orphans from various places of Kerala. He has also been actively participating in the activities off ‘Haritha Kozhikode’ movement, an environmental organization based in Kerala, related to environment, agriculture and livelihood, He thinks the purpose of education is to equip and prepare individuals with the skills and tools necessary to follow their dreams. CONVENOR

Dr. Muhammed Yousoof is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the department of Management Information Systems of Dhofar University. He has been working with Dhofar university since 2004.He has been in academics for almost twenty years teaching in various higher education institutes in India, Malaysia and Oman. He has a PhD in Computer Science from University of Malaya, Malaysia.Addtionally he has an MBA degree from Madurai Kamaraj University, India and Bachelors in Education from University of Madras, India. He has presented many papers in international conferences across various countries and also published journal papers. He has an expertise in Quality assurance of higher education, and involved as a Quality Assurance coordinator in the national and international accreditation of Dhofar University. TREASURER

Dr. Shaji Sreedhar has been a Homeopathic physician for the past 26 years. He completed his BHMS from the esteemed Father Muller Medical College, India. He was the Former MD & chief Consultant in PS Homoeo medical center Kakkattil, Kerala. He is a proud member of the Homeopathic Association Oman and also the Ontario Homeopathic Medical Association, Canada. He is currently practicing as a Consultant at City Homeopathic Clinic, Salalah, Oman, since 2004. Dr. Shaji is a staunch believer in integrating medicine and has done his part to help spread awareness of alternative medicine in Oman. Health seminars, webinars and blood donation campaigns are always on his to-do list. He believes in a holistic approach and is a strong advocate of the importance of mental health. Mr. MOHAMMAD JABIR SHAREEF is an Audiologist & Speech-Language pathologist by profession with 10 years of experience in developing and implementing individualized and group therapy for patients and children of various ages with language delays, articulation disorders, and autism spectrum disorders. He completed his Master's Degree in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology from Bangalore University and has presented many research papers in seminars conducted by the Indian Speech and Hearing Association and universities. Keeping his profession as his passion, he is an active participant in social work and community/pupil awareness programmes in the field of inclusive education, rehabilitation and special education. He also serves as career guidance and counselling coordinator for Trend Guidance cell, Kerala. As an active social worker, has vast experience in community support services and social welfare work. He strongly believes that all educational institutions should promote inclusive education to provide all students with the most appropriate learning environments. Mr.Arun Raj- Mechanical Engineer by profession, Mr.Arun Raj is the Founding Partner of Middle East Global Agency Co. LLC and Al Nasar Technical LLC wherein he has taken up the role as the Director of Sales and Marketing. Being an Alumnus of Indian School Muscat, he has been in Oman for more than 21 years. His organization has its foothold in the Automotive Industry and he currently manages a territory spanning across the Sultanate from Dhofar in the south to Muscat and Sohar in the north. His socially committed organization has been supporting numerous medical and healthcare initiatives, humanitarian aid and socio-cultural events over the past 13 years. With a strong base of professional educational qualification and relevant work experience catalysed with his dedication, he believes he can help to assist the betterment of the school by creating an environment positive enough to bring out the best to fulfill societal goals. Dr. Shariq Mohammed is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Accounting at Dhofar University. He has been working with Dhofar University since 2013.He is an academician for almost twenty-five years. He has taught in various higher education institutes in India and now in Dhofar University, Salalah, Oman. He has a PhD in Management from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, (UPTU) Lucknow, U.P. India. Additionally, he has two Master’s Degree from Lucknow University, U.P. India i.e. M. Com. and MBA. He has authored a number of books of different subjects such Banking, Financial Management, Auditing, Entrepreneurship. Apart from the books he has many chapters published in various books by springer and other renowned publishers He has presented many papers in international conferences across various countries including Dubai, Sharjah, Oman and India. PRINCIPAL

Mr. DEEPAK PATANKAR is an accomplished Principal with 33 years of professional experience, educational leadership and school administration in Mumbai (India) and Indian School Salalah (Oman). He joined Indian School Salalah as Principal on 1st of July, 2019, when the school was very much in need of the Principal. Within this short period of four years, the school under his leadership and teamwork is functioning smoothly and has been excelling in academics, sports and co-curricular activities and continues to be one of the top most Indian schools in Oman.

A few of his many creditable achievements in a short stint of four years- Under his governance and teamwork the school is NABET accredited since 2022; navigated issues related to COVID-19 pandemic and was the first Indian School in Oman to provide a virtual classroom to ensure students received the necessary support to remain engaged academically for two years including the conduct of CBSE Board exam in AY 2021-22; volunteered to take up the challenge of organizing IS QUIZ 2020 and STAI 2021, in which more than 19 Indian Schools participated competitively in virtual platform; driven by his inspiration and motivation, the team effort of the students and teachers fetched the inter-school talent fest trophy for the first time in its history; high academic student achievers in CBSE Board exams; infrastructural development; imparting professional training to the staff through CPD sessions and RUBY JUBILEE of ISS (1981-2021) 40th anniversary celebration in a grand manner in AY2022-23.
