INVESTITURE CEREMONY

To encourage and kindle the leadership qualities in young prodigies of Indian School Salalah, The School Student Prefectorial Body was formed for academic session 2023-2024. The most awaited, prestigious Investiture Ceremony was held on Thursday June 1, 2023 in school premises. This ceremony formally inducted the newly elected and selected members of Student Prefectorial Body with roles and responsibilities.

The programme commenced with an invocation of God Almighty’s blessings. Master. Muhammed Shamlal, the Deputy Head Boy formally welcomed the gathering. The programme proceeded with the acceptance of the School Flag from the Chief Guest, Dr. Abubacker Siddique -President of school management committee  and from Principal Mr. Deepak Patankar by the Head boy Master. Mohnish Kumar Hemnani and Head girl, Miss. Sanchita Anil Agte as a mark of giving them charge of the new prefectorial body.

Dr. Abubacker Siddique -President of school management committee, the chief guest for the occasion, conferred the appointees of School Student Council with their badges signifying each member’s designation and congratulated them for their achievement.  The four housemasters and house mistress then handed over the flags and placards to the house boy captains and house girl captains respectively during the solemn ceremony.

Honoring the lengthy legacy of Indian School Salalah, Principal Mr. Deepak Patankar along with the esteemed members of school management committee Dr. Muhammed Yousoof  Ismail, Convenor SMC,    Dr. Shaji Shreedhar, Treasurer SMC, Dr. Shariq Mohammed, Member SMC, Assistant Vice Principals       Mr. Vipin Das and Mrs. Anita Rose bestowed badges to all house office bearers in a very ceremonial manner. The proud parents’ happiness knew no bounds when badges were conferred on the newly elected student council.

Mr. Deepak Patankar, Principal administered the oath of allegiance to the newly appointed council members, who swore to serve their Alma Mater with utmost sincerity and also follow the principles and core values of the school.  Speaking on the occasion chief guest Dr. Abubacker Siddique, President School Management Committee congratulated the newly appointed office bearers and wished them all the very best. He advised them to be impartial and honest in discharging their duties at the same time smartly tackles all challenges which may come along. He also assured to extend supporting hand to the student council for smooth functioning overall.

In his speech, Master Mohinsh Kumar Hemnani, articulated his gratitude while accepting his responsibility as the Head Boy of the school. While expressing the gravity of his role he said, “Task before you is not easy one, but noble one so embrace this opportunity with humility, dedication and willingness to learn”. Miss. Sanchita Anil Agte in her speech expressed her gratitude and appreciation highlighting how the school has shaped her into what she is today and becoming Head Girl was her dream come true. Each student leader stood proud, prepared to shoulder their responsibilities with vigour, zest and newfound enthusiasm. The newly inducted Deputy Head Girl Miss. Anjana Thiyenchery Parakkadavil proposed the Vote of thanks.

The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.
