The science department of the primary sections in grade 2 organized a Hands –on – learning, experiential learning activity with the students on the importance of saving water on 29th January 2024.

The primary objective of the activity was to educate and encourage primary school children to conserve water by incorporating practices like proper hand washing and reusing water for plant watering into their daily routines.

Faculties of science department primary section conducted interactive sessions to educate students about the importance of water conservation and the scarcity of water resources.

Visual aids such as posters, charts were used to make the concept more understandable and engaging for the young learners.

Students were encouraged to collect the water used for hand washing in buckets or containers. This collected water was then used for watering plants in the school garden.

Teachers supervised the process to ensure that water was being used efficiently and appropriately.

Ms. Noufiya , faculty science department spoke to the students on the importance of the activity and encouraged the students to inculcate the habit of saving water in their daily lives, She also highlighted that saving water was the need of the hour and everyone should immediately take action for the cause.

Mrs. Anita Rose Asst. Vice Principal, who initiated the activity interacted with the students and advised them to think about the need to save water and she also encouraged them to carry the message of the importance of saving water every day to their family and friends and make it a collective effort in the community. The teachers were appreciated for the efforts taken to inculcate various good habits like water conservation.

By instilling these habits in children from a young age, the school aims to build a generation that values and actively contributes to the sustainable use of water resources and hence become a stake holder in the cause of saving our planet.
