Indian School Salalah marked the 75th Republic Day of India in a spectacular event. The event commenced with a warm and cordial welcome extended to all dignitaries, attendees, including students, teachers, staff, and special guests. The school premises echoed with the tunes of a prayer song and the national anthems of Oman and India, setting the tone for a memorable celebration.

The event commenced with a formal welcome address by Miss Malavika M, Nair VII-I, extending gratitude to all attendees and highlighting the significance of the day. The ceremony reached its zenith with an inspiring speech in English by Miss Anindita Singh VII-B highlighting the historical significance of the 75th Republic Day and its relevance in the contemporary world.

The President of the school management committee Dr. Abubacker Siddique, a visionary leader addressed the gathering, sharing his insights and inspiring thoughts about the nation’s future emphasizing the values and principles that define the spirit of unity in diversity of Republic of India. Students are torch bearers of a brighter future, he added.  The cultural extravaganza continued with a soul-stirring patriotic song ‘Jay Jana Bharat’ by students of class VII, it was a musical tribute to the nation, igniting a sense of pride and unity among everyone gathered.

Mr. Deepak Patankar, the school Principal, addressing the gathering, emphasized on the importance of citizen’s contributions and urged everyone to fulfill their fundamental duties as enshrined in the constitution to make India a developed nation. Following this, Miss Himani Rawat IV-I and Miss Zehra Shariq IV-A delivered a speech in Hindi, enlightening the audience about the historical importance and significance of Republic Day. Students from classes III and IV showcased their patriotism through a soulful rendition of the patriotic song ‘Sara Jahan Se Achha’, it was a harmonious blend of divine music and expressive gestures igniting a sense of pride and devotion for the nation.

A poignant moment unfolded as the school recognized and felicitated the academic achievers in CBSE Board Examination of the year 2022-23 with their parents. Toppers from both Class X and XII were awarded mementos and certificates, commemorating their dedication and hard work in academics.

As the event drew to a closure, a heartfelt vote of thanks was delivered by Miss Alvina Shirsat VII-B, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the celebration. Overall, the compering team deserves praise for their seamless coordination and engaging presence which contributed significantly to the success of the event.
