Indian School Salalah's proactive response to the escalating challenges posed by cyber threats in the modern digital landscape was represented through an interactive session on cyber safety.
Mrs. Anita Rose, Assistant Vice Principal and Senior Faculty of the Computer Science Department, led the session, delving into critical issues like cyberbullying and cybersecurity. Executed on January 16th and 18th, 2024, for classes IX and XI, respectively, in the school auditorium, this initiative was part of Computer Science Department under the guidance of Mr. Mohammad Javed, Head of the department.
The session received a highly positive response from students, showcasing its real benefits. Mrs. Anita Rose emphasized on the essential aspects of internet usage, highlighting the significance of safeguarding personal information and seeking parental guidance. Especially, she underlined how to protect the Cyber-attacks done through social engineering.
Spanning two days, with one hour dedicated to each day, the session comprehensively covered common problems students might encounter in the digital realm, offering practical insights for resolution.
