Every year 10th January is celebrated as Vishva Hindi Divas all over the world. To promote the national language of India Indian School Salalah celebrated Vishva Hindi Divas with great zeal and enthusiasm
On this occasion a very unique programme was organized by the Hindi Department in the school auditorium. The programme started with the prayer song. Miss Shagun Rajyaguru of class IX welcomed the gathering which was followed by a thought-provoking speech by Master Arjan Deep Singh of class VII. In his speech he described the significance of Hindi language and the usage of Hindi in the field of computer software.
His speech was followed by an action song by the students of class 1&2. The song and dance mesmerized the audience. On this occasion the winners of Hindi poem writing competition which was held during Bhasha Utsav recited their self-composed poems. This was followed by a mind-blowing play which was enacted by class 3 & 4 students. The drama emphasized the harmony between Indian Languages and the speciality of Hindi Language. Class 1&2 children performed a motivational dance which made the audience spellbound. In between the programmes children from classes 3&4 recited thought-provoking slogans about Hindi Language.
To tap the hidden talents of the children the Hindi Department of Indian School Salalah published Bal Patrika in Hindi. The 5th edition of Bal Patrika was released by the Principal Mr. Deepak Patankar, which was the highlight of the whole programme.
Principal Mr. Deepak Patankar, Vice Principal Mr. MammiKutty, Assistant Vice Principals Mr. Vipin Das and Mrs. Anita Rose graced the occasion with their presence. Mr. Balasubramanian, H.O.D. of the Hindi department proposed the vote of thanks.
