The Commerce Department, under the aegis of Indian School Salalah, organized an industrial visit. The tour was designed to provide students with an immersive and captivating experience in the production facility of Salalah, Oman's As Safwah Dairy. Renowned for its cutting-edge facilities and top-notch dairy products, this factory provided an exceptional opportunity for students to witness the marvels of the dairy industry firsthand.

 

The students of classes 12-D and 12-E, with the Commerce Department faculty-Mr.Anto Lalu, Mr.Mukesh, Mrs. Dhanya, Mrs. Reeshma and Mrs.Nisha, arrived at the factory via bus. A respectful and enthusiastic atmosphere surrounded the students as they were greeted by their hosts and let into the factory. The air filled with anticipation and curiosity as the students were introduced to the advanced hygiene station before entering the facility. From milk collection to the final packaging of dairy products, they witnessed the entire production line in action.

 

State-of-the-art machinery and equipment decorated the factory, showcasing the harmonious blend of technology and precision. The students were mesmerized as they observed the intricate processes of pasteurisation, homogenisation, incubation, cleaning, separation, and fermentation. They marvelled at the seamless coordination between man and machine, realising the immense effort behind producing dairy products of the highest quality.

 

Quality assurance took centre stage during the visit, highlighting the factory's unwavering commitment to excellence. The students were enlightened about the strict quality control measures implemented at every production stage. They gained insights into the factory's commitment to strict food safety regulations, meticulous product testing procedures, and uncompromising hygiene practices. Witnessing these measures firsthand left a deep impression on the students, emphasizing the importance of delivering safe and wholesome dairy products to consumers.

 

Beyond the production, the factory showcased its dedication to sustainability initiatives through a splendid orientation. Lastly, the vote of appreciation was given by the students and bid everyone goodbye.

 

The industrial visit to the dairy factory arranged by Principal and the school management was a rich learning experience for the

students and the teachers, as it bridged the gap between theory and practice. The industrial visit was an absolute success, leaving a

memorable mark on the student's academic and personal growth.
