The Primary section of Indian school Salalah celebrated Children’s day on the 14th of November, 2023, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of Independent India who was extremely fond of children. The children dressed in beautiful attires, thoroughly enjoyed the day in which various fun-filled activities were carried out.

The celebration for classes 1 and 2 started with an indoor assembly. The classrooms were bustling with energy and excitement as the teachers arranged the class for various fun filled activities. The students actively participated in individual games and team building activities. The icing on the cake was the surprise picnic arranged for the students in the assembly area.

The same fervour and enthusiasm was seen among students of grades 3 and 4.The students dressed to the occasion were engulfed in happiness and looked stunning. All the subject teachers had planned hands on activities and few games for their respective classes. .A board game was planned for them as an English activity. For Hindi, a questionnaire was prepared as a quiz and children participated enthusiastically, an origami activity was carried our as a Math activity for which beautiful butterflies with colored papers were made , the vibrant colours of the origami butterflies depicted their effervescence mood and they also happily indulged in bookmark making activity. In the Science class, a rocket making activity was conducted by the teachers, melodious songs and interesting stories were played for the students, they clapped their hands in glee as they saw their favorite characters onscreen.

Teachers of the primary section and the children actively participated and made the day a very special one. The day ended with the same energy level as the students prepared to head home, carrying with them beautiful memories of the day.
