To celebrate this spirit of learning and acknowledging the student within all of us, Reading Club of Indian School Salalah celebrated World Students’ Day. The day is celebrated every year on the 15th October which marks the birthday of Missile Man of India Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam.
To mark the occasion Reading Club of Indian School Salalah celebrated in a unique way by making placards of Dr. Kalam’s brilliant quotes and held a rally in the school campus and classrooms reflecting on his quotes to encourage students. Students also made an acrostic poem on ‘COURAGE’ and in in their speeches urged each and every student to be passionate, principled and consistent in efforts like Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam.
Principal Mr. Deepak Patankar, Vice principal Mr. Mammikutty, AVPs Mr. Vipin Das and Mrs. Anita Rose, K.G in-charge Mrs. Anjali Radhakrishnan, Mr. C.T.Ramasamy H.O.D English Department graced the occasion with their esteemed presence.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. C.T. Ramasamy H.O.D English Department highlighted the importance of this day. He appreciated efforts taken by students of reading club to celebrate this day and encouraged the students to read books written by Dr.Kalam.
Principal Mr. Deepak Patankar in his address paid tribute to Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam for his remarkable dedication towards education in India and his unwavering commitment to the welfare of students across India and World. He commended the students of Reading Club and teachers in-charge for their efforts in making the placards and acrostic poems to pay homage to this legend.
