Leadership is not a position or title, it is action and example. The School Student Prefectorial Body (Primary) was formed for the academic session 2023-2024. The long awaited, eminent Investiture Ceremony was held on 30th August, 2023 in the KG Block. This ceremony formally inducted the newly elected and selected members of Primary-Student Prefectorial Body.
The programme commenced with an invocation of God Almighty’s blessings. Miss Sanjana Gandhi, student from Class 4 formally welcomed the gathering. The Chief Guest, Dr. Abubacker Siddique - President of school management committee and Principal Mr. Deepak Patankar bestowed on the Boy Captain. Rayan Sibu and Girl Captain, Miss. Lania Maria Vipin their badges as mark of giving them charge of the new Prefectorial body.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Abubacker Siddique – President of School Management Committee, and Principal Mr. Deepak Patankar also bestowed on the appointees of School Student Council with their badges signifying each member’s designation and congratulated them.
Honoring the legacy of Indian School Salalah, Principal Mr. Deepak Patankar along with the esteemed members of School Management Committee Dr. Shaji Shreedhar, Treasurer School Management Committee, Mr. Arun Raj, Member School Management Committee, Vice Principal Mr. Mammikutty, Assistant Vice Principals Mr. Vipin Das and Mrs. Anita Rose, KG Incharge Mrs. Anjali Radhakrishnan bestowed badges to all house office bearers in a very formal manner. The delighted parents’ happiness was immeasurable when badges were conferred on the newly elected student council.
The Boy Captain Rayan Sibu and Girl Captain Lania Maria Vipin of the administered the oath of allegiance to the newly appointed council members, who swore to serve their Alma Mater with utmost integrity and also follow the principles and core values of the school.
Speaking on the occasion the Chief Guest Dr. Abubacker Siddique, President School Management Committee congratulated the newly appointed Prefectorial Body members and cited the famous quote by Nelson Mandela – “Lead from the back and let others believe they are in front.” Principal Mr. Deepak Patankar, also shared his views on this occasion, highlighting that, leaders can be groomed at a very young age and should be encouraged.
Assistant Vice – Principal, Mrs. Anita Rose highlighted that - a good leader is the one who makes others feel comfortable and also leads by example. Miss. Andriya Maria Thomas, student of Class 4, proposed the Vote of thanks. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.
