Recognizing the need for continual learning for teachers in order to equip themselves in the light of changing needs in education across the globe, around 40 teachers of Indian school Salalah (Day1-25 & Day2-14) and the admin team led by Principal Mr. Deepak Patankar  attended professional development programme in Indian School Muscat and the remaining members of the teaching staff attended through online mode at school Audio-Visual Room in IS Salalah on 1st& 2nd September, 2023 from 9.30 am to 5 pm..

The programme was organized by the Board of Directors, Indian Schools in Oman in association with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi for the teachers of Indian Schools in Oman at New Multipurpose Hall, Indian School Muscat on 1 and 2 September, 2023. Laid on the key principles of National Education Policy 2020, the training was conducted by Chairperson, NPSC, President, CBSE Sankalp Sahodaya and CBSE Master Trainer Dr. Sudha Acharya.

To enable teachers to play varied and distinct roles as curriculum designers, facilitators of curriculum transaction in classrooms and as mentors different topics were dealt in detail during the session. They included: implementation of NEP 2020, insights on National Curriculum Framework, NIPUN Bharat and holistic progress card and its salient features.

49 teachers of KG & primary section and 76 teachers of senior classes benefited from the programme that was broadcast live from the venue through live streaming services. It helped them to get the best possible professional preparation and support for updating their instructional skills that laid in the National Education Policy 2020.
