Indian School Salalah celebrated the 77th Independence Day on Tuesday,
The celebration commenced with the National Anthem of the Sultanate of Oman, followed by that of India. Master Sidharth delivered the welcome address. The Chief Guest, Dr. Abubacker Siddique, President of the School Management Committee, in his speech, urged students to realize, understand and work towards a progressive nation. He extended his warm greetings on the occasion. Principal Mr. Deepak Patankar addressing the gathering, highlighted the significance of holistic development and the introduction of the three new skill subjects in classes VI to VIII. He urged the students, parents, and staff to work hand in hand to implement the new changes in National Education Policy-2020.
The cultural programme was wonderful with a variety of colourful items. The melodious song of the school choir, Hindi poetry recitation by Miss. Shagun from class IX, speech by Mast. Adeep Krishnakumar and Ms. Lania Maria from class IV, along with the mime and the dance performance left the audience fascinated and won appreciation from all. The celebrations ended with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Miss Hammna of class IX.
