Indian School Salalah expressed its loyalty to His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq and the Sultanate on the occasion of the 52nd Oman National Day (18th November, 2022) on 20th November 2022. The glorious day was celebrated in a befitting manner by the Omani faculty, Department of Arabic, Kindergarten Section and the Primary Section.
The entire school premises was decorated. Principal Mr. Deepak Patankar, AVPs, HODs and Students from classes IV to XII along with their teachers were present for the occasion. Miss Hamda - XA formally welcomed the gathering with wishes on this joyous occasion to people of Sultanate of Oman. The grand celebration commenced with the celestial recital of the holy Quran by Miss Faiha Fuad. To familiarize the students with the rich culture, tradition and history of Oman, an informative speech was given in Arabic language by Miss. Syeda Hafsa Mohammadi , Miss Fatima Al Nazeefa Hanan, Miss Ruvayda Abdi Osman, Miss Ameena Siddiqha and Tahmridul Islam Hasanat . This was followed by a speech in English by Miss. Alqama, Miss Eishrat Jahan and Miss Jannatara Sabiha of grade X.
Principal Mr. Deepak Patankar on this occasion extended his warmest felicitations to His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq and the people of Oman at large, he wished them continued success and prosperity. The melodious Arabic song rendered by Miss Sanchitha Anil Agte –XI B won appreciation and drew strings of heart of the audience. The mesmerizing traditional Arabic folklore dance performance, both by the boys and girls of grade III left the audience spell bound. The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Miss. Hamda.
Kindergarten Section and Class 1 and 2 celebrated the 52nd National Day of Oman with great pride and exuberance. Ms. Ufa the Omani teacher formally welcomed the gathering. Dr. Abubacker Siddique-Treasurer-SMC was the chief guest for this special occassion. Principal Mr. Deepak Patankar, AVPs Mr. Vipin Das and Mrs. Anita Rose graced the occasion with their presence. The day’s celebration began with the recital of few lines from the Holy Quran by Mast. Abdul Rahman from LKG-D . It was followed by an artistic dance performance by KG children that mesmerized the audience with their movements to the tune and rhythm of Omani music. The scintillating Arabic dance performance of students from classes I and II enthralled the audience. The children of CSE came out with a wonderful performance dressed up according to the colour of Omani Flag.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Abubakar Siddique highlighted the importance of this day. He thanked His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq for his benevolence and generosity. He appreciated the efforts taken by everyone to make this event successful. AVP Mrs. Anita Rose extended warm greetings to Omani people on this special day and whole heartedly appreciated the cultural heritage, history and economic progress of Oman.
The hard work and perseverance of students and teachers had borne fruits as the programme was greatly appreciated by all. The event concluded with National Anthem of Oman and India.
