INDIAN SCHOOL SALALAH CELEBRATES 49^TH NATIONAL DAY OF OMAN

Indian School Salalah expressed its loyalty to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said and the Sultanate on the occasion of the 49^th National Day on 18^th November 2019. The glorious day was celebrated in a befitting manner by the Omani faculty, Department of Arabic and the Primary Section.

The entire school premises was decorated. The grand celebration started with the celestial recital of the holy Quran by Master Mohammed Shahid. This was followed by the National Anthem of the Sultanate of Oman instilling patriotism and a sense of pride for the country. To familiarize the students with the rich culture, tradition and history of Oman, a fabulous visual presentation was put up. The mesmerising Arabic dance performance, both by the boys and girls left the audience spell bound. The melodious Arabic song rendered by the Primary and Senior students won the appreciation of the audience.

Kindergarten Section and Class 1 and 2 celebrated the 49^th National Day of Oman with great pride and exuberance. Ms.Wafa the Omani teacher welcomed the gathering. The day’s celebration began with the recital of few lines from the Holy Quran by Mohd. Farooq from UKG.  It was followed by a dance by LKG student that mesmerized the audience with their movements to the tune and rhythm of Omani music. The children of Classes 1 and  2 spoke about beauty and culture of the country.  The children of CSE came out with a wonderful performance which enchanted the audience. The UKG children dressed up according to the colour of Omani Flag enthralled the audience with a scintillating dance performance. The vibrant Arabic dance by the students of Classes 1 and 2 left the audience spell bound.

Principal on this occasion thanked all the Omani staff for their dedication and hard work to put up a wonderful show. He also appreciated the Department of Arabic and the students for putting up such a vibrant and colourful show. The Principal Mr. Deepak Patankar gave away the prizes to the winners of the Open Quiz Competition conducted by the Department of Arabic on Oman’s history and culture. This was followed by the Principal’s speech in which, he paid tributes and expressed loyalty to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said. The programme ended with the vote of thanks by Ms.Wafa followed by Oman National anthem.
