Indian School Salalah's U-17 Girls Kho-Kho team made a commendable showing at the CBSE National Championship, held from October 14th to 18th, 2024, in Karnal, Haryana, India. The team, mentored by Mrs. Rajapushapam, Mr.Sahad and accompanied by Mr. Mohandas, HOD of the Physical Education Department, qualified for the national event following their impressive victory at the Oman Cluster Championship.
Despite facing tough competition from teams across India and foreign countries, the Salalah girls showcased their skills and determination. They lost their first three matches against Kids College Indore (8-11), MV Convent Inter College (11-12), and VRS Vignana Jyothi (12-13).
However, they showed resilience in their final match, drawing against Shri International School Jaipur (11-11). While they narrowly missed out on victory in several matches, their participation at the national level is a testament to their hard work and dedication.
Dona Titus, Ahzin Fatima, Aliya Basheer, Manal Aleemuddin Khaja, Mysha Mariyam, Nusrah Fatima, Varisha Rajesh, Saina Elizabeth Noby, Aleena Aneesh, Kadeeja Shiba T., Shifna Jabin, and Rose Mariya Roy were the dedicated players who represented Indian School Salalah at the CBSE National Kho-Kho Championship.
The participation of the team at the national championship appreciated by the School management and the Principal Mr.Deepak Patankar, is a significant achievement that reflects the school's commitment to sports excellence.
