Achievements

Indian School Salalah’s badminton teams once again demonstrated their exceptional skills and sportsmanship at the CBSE Oman Cluster Badminton Tournament held at Indian School Bousher on 13 and 14 September 2024. The event saw fierce competition, with 13 Indian Schools from across Oman participating and Indian School Salalah’s Under-14 and Under-19 Boys’ teams proudly rising to the occasion.

The Under-19 Boys’ team, led by Mast. Shiloh Caron Meripo and Mast. Renin Babu made a strong impression throughout the tournament. They advanced to the semifinals, defeating Indian School Muladha and Host School Bousher. Although they fell short in the semifinals against Sohar, their unwavering efforts earned them a well-deserved second-runner-up finish.

The Under-14 Boys’ team of Mast. Nithin Srinivasan and Mast. Faaz Khan Javid also exhibited remarkable skills. They secured their place in the semifinals by defeating Indian School Darsait and Indian School Maabela in both singles and doubles matches. Although they fell short of the finals, their determination secured them the bronze medal as second runners-up.

While the under-17 boys’ team faced challenges in the first round, the overall performance of the school’s badminton teams reflects Indian School Salalah’s commitment to fostering athletic excellence and promoting a positive school culture.
