Indian School Salalah made a significant mark at the Annual High School Science Fair Competition hosted by Dhofar University, showcasing impressive talent across multiple disciplines on 9th May 2024. Students from 18 schools presented 35 projects which made the competition a tough one.

Indian School Salalah was represented by four teams, specializing in Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The school  won the overall trophy for the best school in Dhofar region. Our teams achieved outstanding results, securing FIRST PLACE in both Computer Science and Physics, SECOND PLACE in Biology, and received a participation certificate in Chemistry.

In the Computer Science category, Master Aditya (VIII-G), Master Aarav Malviya (VIII-A), and Master Yuvan Eshaan Mandala (VIII-C) presented their project under the able guidance and mentoring of Mrs. Purnima. Their project featured an innovative robot that adeptly solved a Rubik's cube, captivating the judges and audience with its efficiency and technological prowess.

Mrs. Vidya Pillai and Mr. Abdul Bari accompanied the Science Department teams.  Miss Mohanapriya Rajasekaran,Miss Sahana Kanakasabai, and Master Yeasrif Rahman, all from class XII-B, presented the Physics project while Master Nandakumar Rajesh Kumar and Miss  Bhagialakshmi from class XII-C, along with Miss Alqama from class XII-A presented the Biology project.  Mast. Savanth G.T and Miss Nithika Joanna Sathya from class XII-A, and Mast. Amber Vishal Dixit from class XII-B presented the Chemistry project.

Dr. Abubacker Siddique (President, SMC), other eminent members of  the School Management Committee, Principal Mr. Deepak Patankar, Vice Principal Mr. MammiKutty, and the Assistant Vice Principals, Mrs. J Anita Rose and Mr. Vipindas, extended their heartfelt congratulations to the Heads of Departments, Mr. Mohammad Javed (Computer Science) and Mr. Shinoj Thomas (Science), as well as all the teachers involved in guiding the students to achieve this remarkable feat.
