As part of the National Science Day celebrations, a vibrant and informative science exhibition titled "Magic Land of Science" was conducted for the students of Classes 1 and 2 on Wednesday, Feb 26 from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm. The event was held in the kindergarten block, where young learners came together to showcase their scientific knowledge through creative models and projects, realia and drawings. 81 students were involved in making of the models while 193 students got the opportunity to explain the exhibits to their peer group and teachers.

The exhibition was inaugurated by  Principal Mr. Deepak Patankar along with other school administrators including the Vice-Principal Mr. Mammikutty, Asst.Vice Principals Mrs. Anita Rose and Mr. Vipindas, Kindergarten In charge Mrs. Anjali Radhakrishnan, Head of Department-Science, Mr. Shinoj and Mrs. Subha, Subject in charge Science Department.

 The students of Classes 1 and 2 demonstrated their knowledge by displaying a variety of models based on the lessons they had learned throughout the year. Each class was assigned a topic wherein the students not only made the models but were also prepared to speak confidently on the respective topics. The guests expressed their joy as they watched the exhibits on display and appreciated the students’ confidence as they explained their exhibits.

Every student in the class took turns explaining their model and answering questions from visitors. Principal, Mr. Deepak Patankar appreciated the students for their outstanding efforts in preparing the models and for their wonderful presentations. He also praised the teachers for their guidance and support throughout the event which helped the students to develop a deeper understanding of the concepts and develop their skills in presenting and speaking.

The exhibits included the models of surroundings, living and non-living things, different models of houses, parts of plant, types and uses of plants, farm, zoo, homes of animals, things we get from animals, sources of water, Dam, Water cycle, Wind vane, windmill, phases of moon, human skeleton, parts of body and display of different types of rocks.

A video showcasing all the science activities conducted throughout the academic year was played on the TV giving a glimpse into the hard work and dedication of both students and teachers.

Teachers from senior classes also visited the exhibition, showing their support and appreciation for the young learners’ efforts. Their feedback was encouraging, and they praised the children for their creativity and understanding of scientific concepts at such an early age.

The National Science Day Science Exhibition, "Magic Land of Science," provided an excellent platform for the children to present their knowledge, interact with the guests and to boost their confidence.
