The earth day was celebrated in the primary wing. The skit that was enacted to avoid plastic and the song sung by the students created an awareness to conserve the earth. The Principal administered a pledge that was taken by him and the students to avoid the use of plastic by the students and the teachers from today onwards. He announced that the school will be a ‘plastic free campus’. He also asked the students to use cloth bags for shopping and not to bring plastic bags to the school.
The Earth Day programme helped the students to assimilate clearly that our natural resources are limited and are to be used judiciously. It was a great day to showcase environmental education and engage the whole student community in making a difference.
