1. For promotion to the next class, a child should have attended minimum 75% of the total number of working days of his/her class in the school.
2. Students of LKG, UKG, Class I and II will be assessed continuously and no examination will be conducted for them.
3. Students of Class III to IX & XI will be assessed on the basis of their performance throughout the year and in the terminal assessments(Term I and Term II).
4. Final Examinations for Class III to IX & XI will be held in March.
5. Final Examination for Class X and XII will be conducted by CBSE in March/April and results will be declared at the end of May or in the beginning of June.
6. For appearing in the Final examination, all the school dues should be cleared by the 20th of February.
7. Students using or attempting to use unfair means in any test/examination will be awarded zero in the entire test/examination.
8. Weightage for Test/Assignment and Summative Examinations for class III and above is as follows:
Term I II
Formative FA1- 10 Marks FA3- 10 Marks
FA2- 10 Marks FA4- 10 Marks
Summative 30 Marks 30 Marks
9. Students remaining absent in the summative examination will not be awarded any marks.
10. For general proficiency award, actual marks secured by the student will be taken into account. A student who remains absent in any summative exam will not be eligible for General Proficiency Award.MARKS RANGE GRADE POINT
11. The student’s performance will be assessed using conventional numerical marking mode, and the same will be later converted into the grades on the basis of the pre-determined marks ranges as detailed below :-
91-100 A1 10.0
81-90 A2 9.0
71-80 B1 8.0
61-70 B2 7.0
51-60 C1 6.0
41-50 C2 5.0
33-40 D 4.0
21-32 E1 -
20-and below E2 -
1. Promotion for Class III to IX students will be decided on the basis of their performance in the formative and summative assessments. Weightage of formative assessments is 40%, and summative assessments 60%. A pupil should appear for all the assessments and secure atleast 40% marks in each subject.
2. A pupil should secure a grade above E in all the subjects in the Summative Assessment II and overall grade. If not, he/she will have to appear for an improvement examination to secure a minimum grade (D) for promotion.
3. Promotion to Class XII will be decided on the basis of the following.
a. To be promoted to the next class a student should secure minimum 35% marks in each of the five scholastic subjects and 40% in aggregate.
b. A student should also secure the Grade above E in all the non-scholastic subjects.
c. A student should secure minimum 35% marks in theory and practical examinations separately, if the subject involves practical.
d. A student will be allowed to appear for an Improvement Examination in any one of the five scholastic subject, if he/she secures less than 35% in that subject and gets minimum 40% marks in aggregate.
